Weighing in Wednesday: A home cooked dinner every night

Last week was one of the first weeks that I had cooked every night, except one, in a long time.  It felt wonderful cooking for my family and knowing what was going into the food.   My husband and I made an agreement that we could go out once a week if I cooked every night.

I haven't weighed myself, but I need to.  First, I need to get a scale.

This week I let my son know that we need to get healthy together.  We can only drink pop on the day we go out and eat.  I don't have pop in the house so a slight miracle happened.  We don't drink pop.  We drink water.  Somehow my body feels better.  I can't explain it to you, but I feel less cruddy.

This week I am still going to be making something at home each day, except one.  We aren't going to be drinking pop.  The new goal this week is to walk for 15 minutes every day.

I read a report that said all of a days exercise doesn't need to be done at the same time.  You can do it in 5 minute increments and it will be the same as if you did all of the exercise at a time.  I am sure my back and asthma can handle a walk around the block 3 times a day.  Hopefully after two weeks I can handle walking twice around the block 3 times a day.  We shall see.

Do you have any health related goals this week?  If so, I would love to hear them.
