I have lost 20 lbs!

Yesterday after gorging myself on two pieces some pie, I got a phone call from my sister.  We started talking about our weight since we haven't seen each other in 3 months and I told her I knew I was losing weight, but haven't weighed myself for at least 5 months.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that I have lost about 20 pounds!  I am still morbidly obese, but I only have less than 20 pounds until I am considered obese.  For some of you that would be a nightmare, but there are others that understand how exciting it is to lose weight and not be classified as morbidly obese anymore.

I plan on starting to walk more.  I really need to incorporate exercise into this weight loss goal of mine.

I have been doing really well at only eating one serving of food... until Thanksgiving time.  I did really good with the feast part of the day.  However, once I saw all the delicious pies, I went back to my old self.  There was pumpkin, apple and Razzleberry pies.  I chose the pumpkin and Razzle Berry pies.

I was proud of myself when I was making the delicious thin mints and the peanut butter kisses cookies that I didn't eat one single one of them.  I would usually need to make at least a dozen extra cookies, but this time I stuck to the goal.

I am wondering if any of you have a hard time around desserts?  It used to be normal for me to gain at least 5 pounds from Thanksgiving to New Years, but I don't want to do that this year.  Last year was the first year I didn't gain weight during the Holidays.
