New Balance Shoes: NB 7500 (Stylish and Comfortable) Review + Giveaway

Let me tell you a true story. My son use to always pick the shoes he thought looked the most fashionable to buy. About a week later he would finally let us know that his shoes REALLY hurt his feet... but they were his right size so we would make him wear them until he "broke them in." Last time we brought him shoe shopping, we covered his eyes and made him try on 5 different pairs of shoes. He had to walk around in them (holding onto his father and I) and jump around in place. After that experiment we came home with a size 8.5 NB 4500 shoe.

New Balance recently sent us a pair of their newly release 7500 which is "a sleek running shoe designed for the competitive athlete seeking style and function". I am not an athlete, but my 10 year old son has recently started getting fit. Part of his routine is walking and running on about a mile trail with us. He wore them to school the second day we had them.  He came out to the car and told me, "Mom, my friend's wouldn't stop bugging me about my shoes. They thought they were really cool and wanted to know where I got them from." So, they look cool and his feet didn't hurt walking around and playing in gym. They are a pair of shoes that doesn't hurt his feet when they walk.  He didn't need to break them in to his feet either, they were comfortable from day one.

Children run around so much each day.  During the summer, M is always running around.  He plays kickball, softball and baseball with his friends.  It is awful when they don't have the right shoes and their little feet suffer because of it.  The technology will ensure that your child's feet will stay comfortable while they are romping around.

M sporting his NB 7500

I asked M what his favorite part of the shoe was and he told me "I think the heel part makes me run faster." Well, they haven't improved his time, but his feet don't hurt when he is done running or walking with us. He told me that they made him spring more.  That would be a good asset for a runner.  My sister spent a lot more money on a different shoe because she was told it would absorb the shock and help her "spring" more.

My favorite part of the shoe is the mesh that helps the feet breath. Plus, his toes get to move around a little bit more when he is sitting.

I would recommend these shoes to any adult to use for yourself.  They are also great for children.  I also recommend them for any child who is overweight. They help cut down on the daily stress of the feet. And for any parents with an overweight child knows that it doesn't hurt to reward children with cool shoes to get them playing outside more.

The following is from New Balance's Press Release "Inspired by the NB ZIP™ line of running shoes, the 7500 features the lightweight NPulse™ technology in the heel for a responsive, cushioned ride. NB Pulse™ is a cushioning system that integrates a support structure with air filled pillars that compress and absorb shock on impact. The overlasted forefoot provides support and an aggressive, athletic look. A high abrasion-resistant Ndurance rubber outsole provides long-wearing durability and a synthetic/mesh upper ensures breathability."

  30. I like the WR7500SP ones. It looks like they have a little pink on them. When it comes to tennis shoes, comfort all the way. I have one pair of expensive (brand will go unnamed :) ) running shoes and they are horrible. They hurt my feet like crazy and I run everyday.

  159. When I'm shopping for shoes, my first decision is based upon where I'm planning to wear the shoes and for what activity. Do I need running shoes, walking shoes, boat shoes, beach sandals, or high heels? Then it's all about comfort and fit. Also the shoe must be of good quality materials and be well constructed. Color of the shoe is probably the lowest factor in my choice process.

  161. WR7500SP are my favorite pair. When I shop for shoes the most important thing I am looking for is arch support. New Balance is the only brand that I have found that supports my feet and keeps them comfortable all day!

  170. The MR7500SN look great! I always make sure my shoes have enough shock absorption (padding).

I like WR7500BP. The most important thing to me is comfort. I hate when my toes are squished. Comfort is the thing I look for first.
