The Heart Mender by Andy Andrews Review & Giveaway (Ends 5/16)

This story is an intricate woven tale about how two people who have had their lives touched by tragedy can learn to forgive. Helen has been angry for a long time at people and she cannot control her anger. Josef has been betrayed and does not care about his life. Then Helen and Josef meet.

This story is a true story about forgiving so you can find happiness. I was thrilled with how this book was wrote and learning about the characters. The beginning leads into the mystery of the rest of the book, and you will want to find out who left the buried tokens and read their story. Andy Andrews wrote this book with such love for the people he heard the story through. I read every page being able to understand their feelings, the plot was well thought. This story has taught me that forgiveness is important so I don't hold onto anger.

I believe that you will all want to read this book.

Book Description

"A unique blend of historical fact and engaging fiction showing the power of forgiveness.
In 1942, German subs are dispatched to the Gulf of Mexico to sink U.S. vessels carrying goods and fuel. While taking a late-night walk, Helen Mason—widowed by war—discovers the near-lifeless body of a German sailor. Enraged at the site of Josef Landermann's uniform, Helen is prepared to leave him to die when an unusual phrase, faintly uttered, changes her mind.
In The Heart Mender, a small town must prepare itself for the worst the world has to offer, and Josef and Helen must reconcile their pasts to create a future."

Thomas Nielsen sent me a copy of this book free of charge. The fact that they sent me the book free of charge does not change my opinions above. I do believe anyone that reads this book will come from the book knowing that they must forgive. They also sent me an extra copy to give to one of my readers.
